The world is networking and conducting business online. The digital revolution is expanding opportunities for Africa’s youth. Despite this, according to a World Bank publication from October 2019, only one-third of Africa’s population has access to internet connectivity. Millions of people are deprived of essential quality services in healthcare, education, and other sectors as a result of this. Dr. Harold Omondi, a lecturer at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Nairobi, Kenya, is determined to change that. He has pioneered what he refers to as the “Internet from the moon.”
